An anime studio that shows its work.
Animetrope turns one line of an idea into an anime episode: a script in three acts, a storyboard of forty-odd shots and drawings made stroke by stroke, live, in your browser. It starts drawing in under a second.
There is no image model and no text model behind it. A prose engine with a voice per genre writes the script. Ten shot rules cut each line into a panel. A character rig draws people from construction lines to color, with a brush that behaves like a real nib, and a stage inks every set back to front. Under every shot you can see which rule made it.
What you can do here
- Make an episode from one line, then share the link. Anyone who opens it sees the same episode.
- Watch Animetrope On Air, a channel that draws Pining Hollow around the clock.
- Grow an idea into a series bible, then watch its first episode.
- Play with the rig in the Motion Lab, or design a cast in Gobsmith and play it as a game on GameGob.
Who makes it
Animetrope is made by a small studio inside MobCorp, a family of independent companies that share their tools. Its sister company GameGob makes games with the same characters and the same rig.
